This research aims to determine the impact of providing pop up book leaflet media on increasing knowledge about how to brush teeth among students. This research used a quasi-experiment method with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The location of the research was III SDN 068003 Medan Tuntungan District. The research period starts from February - October 2025. The subjects of this research are all 30 class III students at SDN 068003 Medan. The number of samples was used as the total sampling, namely 30 people. The subjects of this research were divided into two groups, namely the group that received intervention, 15 people and the control group, 15 people. The intervention in this research was the provision of pop up books and media. For the intervention and control groups, a pre-test was carried out before the subjects were given the pop up book and leaflet media, and then, both groups were given a post-test after being given the pop up book and leaflet media. Blood collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires before and after being given pop up books and leaflets. Data analysis used Paired T-test and Unpaired T-test. The results of the study showed that the average knowledge of students about how to brush their teeth in the intervention and control groups both experienced a significant increase in knowledge. There is a difference in the mean score of students' knowledge before and after being given intervention through leaflet media and playing snakes and ladders (p=<0.05). Conclusion: FIFA 11+ training was proven to be significantly effective in increasing leg muscle strength in players at the Utamasia Football Academy SSB.
2026-04-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Health Science and Rehabilitation Journalhttp://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/550Hubungan Indeks Massa Tubuh Dengan Dismenore pada Siswi SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis2026-06-18T04:09:45+00:00Cindy Khairunnisa Purbacindykhairunnisa72@gmail.comDewi Agustinacindykhairunnisa72@gmail.comBibit Tri Wahyudicindykhairunnisa72@gmail.com
Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common menstrual disorders experienced by adolescent girls and may negatively affect academic performance, daily activities, productivity, and quality of life. Several factors have been associated with dysmenorrhea, including nutritional status as measured by Body Mass Index (BMI). Both underweight and overweight/obese conditions may influence hormonal balance and prostaglandin production, which play important roles in the occurrence of menstrual pain. This study aimed to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and dysmenorrhea among female students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis. This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all female students in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis who experienced dysmenorrhea, totaling 50 respondents. A total sampling technique was applied, in which all eligible participants were included as the study sample. BMI was calculated based on body weight and height measurements and categorized as underweight, normal, overweight, obesity class I, and obesity class II. Dysmenorrhea severity was assessed using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses. The Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, the relationship between variables was analyzed using Spearman’s rho correlation test with a significance level of 0.05. There is a significant relationship between Body Mass Index and dysmenorrhea among female students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipispis. Higher BMI tends to be associated with a greater severity of dysmenorrhea. Maintaining an ideal nutritional status may help reduce the risk and severity of menstrual pain among adolescent girls.
2026-05-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Health Science and Rehabilitation Journalhttp://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/534Pengaruh Ankle Weight Terhadap Peningkatan Kecepatan Tendangan Dollyo Chagi Atlet Taekwo Ndo Sibayak Club Medan2026-05-10T12:56:37+00:00Lidya Theresya Br.Sembiringlidyathereresia007@gmail.comMaryaningsihmaryaningsih@gmail.comSulaimanmanfisioterapi@gmail.com
Background: Kick speed is an important component of taekwondo performance, particularly in the execution of dollyo chagi, a kicking technique frequently used in competition. This study aimed to analyze the effect of ankle weight training on improving dollyo chagi kick speed among taekwondo athletes at Sibayak Club Medan. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach was employed. The sample consisted of 30 taekwondo athletes aged 15–22 years selected using total sampling. The intervention involved ankle weight training conducted twice a week for four weeks. Kick speed was measured using a stopwatch before and after the intervention. The results showed a descriptive improvement in kick speed after ankle weight training. Before the intervention, 27 athletes were categorized as moderate and 3 athletes as poor. After the intervention, all athletes were categorized as very good. The mean kick time also decreased from approximately 4.70 seconds in the pre-test to approximately 3.06 seconds in the post-test. These findings indicate that ankle weight training may serve as a practical training variation to improve dollyo chagi kick speed.
