http://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/555

Toward the end of the semester, students face various academic demands that can trigger stress and affect sleep quality. Adequate sleep quality is a crucial aspect of physical health, cognitive function, and academic performance. However, research findings regarding the relationship between academic stress and sleep quality remain inconsistent. This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic stress and sleep quality among students towards the end of the semester. This quantitative study utilized a cross-sectional design involving 41 respondents selected through total sampling. Academic stress was measured using the Perception of Academic Stress Scale (PASS), while sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The analysis revealed that the correlation coefficient between academic stress and sleep quality was 0.064, with a significance value (p-value) of 0.693. These findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between academic stress and sleep quality among students towards the end of the semester.
Rini WidartiBinuko Amarseto

http://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/563

Scoliosis is a musculoskeletal disorder that often occurs in adolescents and can be affected by a variety of factors, including posture habits, school bag loads, and individual characteristics. Identification of risk factors is important to be carried out as the basis for prevention efforts from an early age in the school environment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between sitting posture, bag weight, and gender to the incidence of scoliosis in students of SMP Negeri 2 Pancur Batu. The study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample amounted to 80 students who were selected using stratified random sampling techniques. Data were collected through seated observation, bag weight measurement, gender identification, and scoliosis screening using the Adam's Forward Bend Test. Data analysis was carried out univariately, bivariately using the Chi-square test, and multivariate using logistic regression with a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that bag weight was significantly related to the incidence of scoliosis (p<0.001; OR=7.426), while sitting posture (p=0.080) and gender (p=0.923) showed no significant relationship. The weight of the bag is the most dominant factor in the incidence of scoliosis in students. Bag weights that exceed the recommendations increase the risk of scoliosis in students. Therefore, ergonomic education, weight monitoring of school bags, and regular posture screening are needed as a promotive and preventive effort to maintain the health of the adolescent spine.
Arief Michael BudiantoTrisno SusiloIda Aryani Pasaribu

Healthcare professionals are required not only to have clinical competence but also to apply professional ethics and health law principles in healthcare services. Health students as future professionals need adequate ethical knowledge and legal awareness to develop professional behavior during clinical practice. This study aimed to determine the relationship between professional ethics knowledge and health law awareness with professional behavior among health students in clinical practice. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 60 health students at STIKes Assyifa selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring professional ethics knowledge, health law awareness, and professional behavior. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that most students had good professional ethics knowledge (70.0%), high health law awareness (66.7%), and good professional behavior (75.0%). There was a significant relationship between professional ethics knowledge and students’ professional behavior (p=0.001). Furthermore, health law awareness was significantly associated with professional behavior (p=0.002). Professional ethics knowledge and health law awareness are associated with professional behavior among health students in clinical practice. Strengthening ethics and health law education is essential to develop competent, ethical, and professionally responsible future healthcare providers
Erwin SyahputraIrsan Armadi

2026-06-232026-06-2363Pengaruh Latihan Ankle Weight Terhadap Peningkatan Kecepatan Lari Pemain Sepakbola Generasi Medan Krio
http://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/564

Running speed is a crucial component in modern football performance, but a preliminary survey at Medan Krio Generation Football School showed that players' running speed is still relatively slow (average 17 seconds for 100-meter sprint). The use of ankle weight is believed to increase leg muscle strength and explosive power, which has the potential to increase running speed. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of ankle weight training on increasing the running speed of Medan Krio Generation football players. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The research sample was 20 U-15 football players from Medan Krio Generation Football School who were selected using the total samplingtechnique. The intervention in the form of ankle weight training was carried out for 4 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week. Running speed measurements were carried out using a stopwatch at a distance of 100 meters. Data were analyzed using a paired sample T-test. Results The Wilcoxon test analysis showed a significance value (p < 0.001), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Conclusion The use of ankle weights in a structured and consistent training program proved to significantly improve running speed.

Aulia Anugrah PaneTrisno SusiloSulaiman

The postpartum period is a recovery period after childbirth, where the process of involution or the return of the uterus to its original size is an important indicator in the recovery of the postpartum mother. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can help accelerate uterine involution is early mobilization. This study uses a pre-experimental design, with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 30 postpartum mothers who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a uterine fundus height observation sheet measured before and after early mobilization. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test. Showing a significant decrease in the height of the uterine fundus after early mobilization. The average height of the uterine fundus before early mobilization was 12.89 cm, while after early mobilization decreased to 9.83 cm. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant influence between early mobilization on the acceleration of the decrease in uterine involution. From this study, early mobilization is effective in accelerating the decrease in uterine fundus height in postpartum mothers. It is hoped that early mobilization can be applied routinely in postpartum obstetric services to accelerate maternal recovery and prevent further complications
JoharmiUstifina Hasanah HasibuanFazira Suhaila

http://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/hsrj/article/view/565

Stroke is a leading cause of disability and frequently results in impaired gait, requiring effective physiotherapy rehabilitation. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Bobath Concept on gait quality in post-stroke patients at the Monginsidi Physiotherapy Clinic. A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted. Eighteen participants were recruited using purposive sampling. The Bobath Concept intervention was administered over 12 treatment sessions, while gait quality was assessed using the Wisconsin Gait Scale (WGS). Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test and paired t-test with a significance level of 5%. The mean WGS score decreased from 26.94 ± 3.59 before the intervention to 25.67 ± 3.58 after the intervention. The paired t-test demonstrated a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the Bobath Concept is effective in improving gait quality in post-stroke patients and may serve as an evidence-based physiotherapy intervention in neurological rehabilitation.
KhairiantiTrisno SusiloRonald Erwansyah
