Abstract

Teachers are expected to demonstrate professionalism not only through pedagogical competence but also through personal appearance that reflects confidence and positive self-image. However, teachers at Khalilah Islamic Daycare, Preschool, and Kindergarten faced limitations in daily makeup skills and understanding of halal cosmetic products. This community service program aimed to improve teachers’ knowledge of halal cosmetics and daily makeup skills through training using the Magic Tool Flat Foundation Brush. The program involved 20 teachers and was implemented through socialization, demonstrations, guided practice, mentoring, and evaluation. Data were collected using observations, documentation, pretest-posttest assessments, and participant feedback. The results showed an increase in participants’ average scores from 71.30 in the pretest to 88.65 in the posttest. The N-Gain value was 0.60, categorized as moderate effectiveness, indicating that the training effectively improved participants’ knowledge and practical skills. In addition, participants demonstrated a better understanding of halal cosmetics and more confidence in applying daily makeup techniques. The program successfully contributed to improving personal grooming competence and professional appearance among teachers in Islamic educational institutions.
