Abstract

Bullying is a crucial issue that requires effective and sustainable handling, especially in Islamic boarding schools. This community service program aims to educate students and Islamic boarding school administrators about bullying prevention and handling through a creative and interactive participatory approach. The activity was carried out at the Islamic boarding school with 146 students aged 12-17 years old. The participatory education began with pre- and post-tests to measure the level of understanding, followed by discussions and role-plays involving all participants in formulating joint solutions. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge scores. From an average of 62 to 88, meaning there was an increase in knowledge scores of 26 after students received Participatory Education for Effective and Creative Bullying Prevention and Handling in Islamic Boarding Schools. This activity successfully triggered active participation of students in the anti-bullying campaign and committed to creating a safe, supportive, and violence-free Islamic boarding school environment. This service program succeeded in building collective awareness and internal capacity of the Islamic boarding school, thus becoming a model for effective and sustainable bullying management.
