Penyuluhan tentang Pelayanan Dokter Gigi Keluarga di RS Mitra Medika Premiere

Abstract

Oral and dental health is an integral component of overall health that affects the quality of life of individuals and families. Education and the development of a family dental health risk assessment instrument were conducted as promotive and preventive efforts to support sustainable family dental care services. This community service activity was conducted at Mitra Medika Premiere Hospital, targeting patients, patients' families, and the general public. The methods included an initial survey, interactive education, group discussions, oral hygiene demonstrations, and evaluation of participants' knowledge using pre-tests and post-tests. The educational materials covered the concept of family dental care services, types of promotive and preventive services, routine dental examinations, and family dental health risk management. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of regular dental examinations and continuous dental care services. This activity is expected to encourage positive changes in dental health maintenance behaviors at the family level.
