Abstract

Maintenance of dental and oral health needs to be carried out regularly to prevent various oral cavity disorders and maintain quality of life. This service activity aims to increase the knowledge, awareness, and skills of patients and their families at the Dental and Oral Polyclinic of Bhayangkara Tk. II Hospital Medan. Activities are carried out through interactive counseling, discussions, demonstrations of toothbrushing techniques, and leaflet distribution. Evaluation using pretests and posttests showed an increase in participants' understanding of oral hygiene, caries prevention, and the importance of periodic dental checkups. This promotive education is expected to encourage the implementation of dental and oral health maintenance behaviors in a sustainable manner.
