Pancasila is both the foundation of the state and the national ideology of Indonesia, yet its implementation faces pressure from globalization, digitalization, and shifting social values. This study analyzes the position, functions, and relevance of Pancasila as the state ideological foundation, and identifies the challenges and strategies for strengthening it. Using a descriptive qualitative library-research method, it reviews 15 scholarly journal articles published between 2021 and 2026 through thematic content analysis. The findings show that Pancasila is rooted in the nation’s cultural, historical, and religious values; functions as the state foundation, source of law, unifier, and moral guide; and operates as an open ideology that adapts without abandoning its core values. Its main challenges are individualism, radicalism, social conflict, hate speech, and inequality. Strengthening Pancasila requires character education, socially just public policy, and digital literacy.
