This study aims to describe community perceptions of equal rights and treatment, educational opportunities, experiences of injustice, and the practice of the fifth principle in everyday life. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with primary data collected through interviews with three community informants and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that (1) the equitable realization of rights is perceived to depend heavily on the capacity and commitment of regional heads, although central government directives are considered uniform; (2) government educational assistance is felt by families classified in the fourth decile; (3) injustice is still perceived, mainly in the form of economic disparity, limited employment opportunities, and the influence of rank and position; and (4) practicing the fifth principle is understood as a shared responsibility that begins with self-reflection and the wise use of assistance. These findings point to the need to strengthen regional governance, improve the accuracy and oversight of aid distribution, and encourage responsible citizen participation.
Notariel Lahagu, Josua Stevany Saputra Silaban, M. In daily life, however, some people tend to remain passive when their opinions are rejected or differ from others, choosing to give in to avoid conflict. This community-oriented mini research and idea engineering aimed to describe how the fourth principle is applied in joint decision-making and to propose an idea for strengthening it. Data were collected on 26 September 2026 at Gor Dispora Pancing through open-ended interviews with three university student respondents, covering their experience in joint decision-making, their attitude when their opinions were rejected, and how they faced people who impose their will. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the respondents listened to and respected others' opinions and did not impose their will, but two of the three tended to yield under rejection or pressure. Based on these findings, the idea engineering focuses on increasing the courage to express opinions politely in deliberation through understanding of values, a simple polite-speaking pattern, equal opportunity to speak, and speaking practice. In conclusion, the fourth principle is reasonably well applied, but the courage to express opinions still needs to be strengthened; the idea has not yet been tested, so its effectiveness requires further testing.
Vika Aliyah Azizah, Galio Agriva Bangun, Rifandika Irwansyah Hutagalung, Kaka Zamahendra, Angga Saputra Siburian Copyright (c) 2026 Abdimas: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat https://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/jpm/article/view/619 Wed, 07 Oct 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Penerapan Nilai Kemanusiaan Yang Adil dan Beradab dalam Mengatasi Perundungan di Kalangan Pelajar Terutama di Sekolah Dasar https://journals.insightpub.org/index.php/jpm/article/view/616
Bullying in the elementary school environment is a social problem that can disturb a sense of security, comfort, friendships, and student confidence.
