Pengaruh Promosi Kesehatan Terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Remaja Tentang Permainan Game Online di Kelurahan Kwala Begumit

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated online gaming addiction as one of the mental disorders, and the prevalence of online game addiction in adolescence is 24%. This is suspected because teenagers lack knowledge and have negative attitudes. Health promotion through counseling about online game addiction is very important, especially for adolescents who are prone to addiction. This research aims to determine the influence of health promotion on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about online game games. This type of research is pre-experimental with the one group pretest posttest design. The research was conducted in Kwala Begumit Village. The study population was all adolescents as many as 65 people, and all of them were used as samples (total sampling). Data were analyzed univariate and bivariate using the Wilcoxon test at a 95% confidence level (a = 0.05). The results of the study showed that health promotion had an effect on adolescents' knowledge of online game games in Kwala Begumit Village, in 2023, p = 0.000 < 0.05. Health promotion affects adolescents' attitudes about online game games in Kwala Begumit Village (p = 0.000 < 0.05). This research shows that health promotion can improve adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about online gaming. Teenagers have to ask a lot of questions to health workers or read a lot of information related to the negative impact of online games so that knowledge becomes good and attitudes become positive.
