Pengaruh Promosi Kesehatan Dengan Media Leaflet Terhadap Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Ibu Dalam Pemberian Asi Ekslusif Di Puskesmas Medan Deli

Abstract

Exclusive breast milk is the baby's food or drink from birth to six months of age. Infants who are not exclusively breastfed have a greater risk of dying from malnutrition. Data from the Medan Deli Health Center shows that the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in this region is still low, which is around 25% and this is still far from achieving the national target of 80%. The target at the Medan Deli Health Center is the same as the national target of 80%, but the goal is only about 25% of the 100 babies aged 0-6 months at the Medan Deli Health Center who receive exclusive breastfeeding during the first 6 months of life. This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion with Media Leaflet on the knowledge and attitude of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding This research is a quantitative research on Experimental design with the Non Equivalent Control Group Design method. This research was conducted at the Medan Deli Health Center. The population is all mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months, which is 40 people. The sample is 40 people with a total sampling technique. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Test. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of health promotion with leaflet media on exclusive breastfeeding on knowledge at the Medan Deli Health Center (p=0.000). There is an effect of health promotion with leaflet media on exclusive breastfeeding on attitudes at the Medan Deli Health Center (p=0.000). The conclusion is that health promotion with leaflet media has an effect on the knowledge and attitude of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding at the Medan Deli Health Center. It is recommended to mothers to seek information about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in order to be able to breastfeed their children exclusively
